Alfredo

My little bird with a broken wing. I understood then that my job was to tend to his wing, help him feel happy and secure and loved. And then I let him go. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. Then the hardest thing was breathing.

Every breath was a whisper of his name. I felt broken.

But then a miracle happened. He flew back into our home. He never left our hearts but now he is here and I am filled with awe and gratitude about how the Lord works.

He is my blessing.

Dear Lord, Thank you for working through us and for showing us your amazing grace and love. We thought we were happy before but you showed us that real happiness is beyond ourselves. Help me to live in your light. Thank you for your blessings. In your name, I pray.

  1. Wow, Amy this is lovely...your post. So heartfelt and precious. Little Alfredo has become a blessing in a way to all of us. He lights up your life which in turn touches all of deeply. I love this! We have now raised our kids and the three of them are in college...they are blessing us now with their lives in a way I can't explain...but I am deeply touched by their commitment to God more than anything.
Your post has made my day..thank you.
    Blessings,

  7. Beautiful story and stitching...do you already have everything planned - in terms of what to stitch in each square or are you just going with whatever comes up? I finally found my fabric and have to do my grid now... of course have to learn a few stitches first :)

  9. Hi, I was wondering if it is not to late to be apart of your stitch along. i have been following Suzanne Duda's blog pink roses and fell in love with the idea of stitching the squares. It's a great way to kind of journal and the counting your blessings is the best. I would so love to be apart. Please let me know.
