whoops...

I don't know how it happened but I can't seem to get into the swing of this project...I'm shelfing it for a while until I can get back into it.

  1. You aren't the only one. I guess it's just a matter of timing sometimes.

  2. Me either! I haven't given up though, and still plan on returning to it asap.

  3. Sometimes you just have to do that. You'll know when the time is right to bring it out. Have a wonderful, blessed day.

  4. I havebeen close to shelving . . so many of my blessings have sadness about them and they are really eating at my depression/setretonin level.

See you when you get back . . .

  5. Me too! I have had it sitting on the sewing table for ages meaning to start (its all drawn out and ready) but life just keeps getting in the way at the moment. We have school holidays for a few weeks now so I plan to get back to it after them. See you soon :-)

  7. Do not worry....you will get the bug to start back when the time is right. I have trouble with mine because of fretting about what should be called a “Blessing” vs "material things" that I love so much they have become “blessings” in their own way. This project had made me think very hard about everything from the choice of the blessing to my lack of ability when it comes to the stitches. I have ripped out quite a few of my blocks VERY, VERY SLOWLY because I do not feel like the needlework makes any sense to the viewer...and that includes me. I am making it for my only little granddaughter so when she grows up she will be able to look at it and see the things that were so important to her Baga when she was a little girl. If there is a way to fret and stew about a project, then I am the girl to do it. You would think at 71 I would have gotten over it and moved on, but I fear it is only getting worse. So hang in there....before too long you will pick it up, begin stitching again, and it will turn out even more lovely than you expected. Hugs, Genie

  8. Just visiting the stitchalong blogs and yes, I'm totally behind as well. Life just goes on and things fall to the side I suppose - but we are still going! Just slowly! Hope to see some posts that will motivate me as well :)

I know lots of girls are so busy with the kids on summer vacation, maybe after it's done I can focus better!!!
